Eiffel Tower
Of course you cannot visit Paris without seeing the infamous Eiffel Tower. This iconic landmark is the city’s beloved treasure that brings millions of tourists flocking to the destination every year. There are few tips to making this experience enjoyable since it is the most popular attraction in the city. I recommend scheduling a timed visit early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the highest of crowds. Be sure to purchase your separate ticket to the top for a breathtaking view. If you have the time, consider the tasting menu at the Michelin Star Le Jules Verne.
Arc de Triomphe
This incredible structure was commissioned by Napoleon as a tribute to the French armies who fought in the French Armies of the Revolution. At the foot of this impressive building is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier which houses the Flame of Remembrance that was lit in 1923 and has not gone out since. I would recommend a guided tour to understand everything that has been designed in this site. there are multiple layers of history with such remarkable artistry.
The Louvre
This world famous museum compares to no other. The Louvre is home to famous works of art such as Venus de Milo and Mona Lisa. This is the most visited museum on the planet seeing close to 10 million visitors a year. A great way to avoid the mass amounts of people that can make it very difficult to see those incredible works of art is to enter the museum after 7pm. The Louvre is open until 10pm during the peak season in the summer months.
Avenue de Champs-Élysées
The Champs-Élysées is a a unique blend of upscale designer brand shops, fine Michelin star dining, art galleries, parks and urban affordable shops. The diverse blend of character in the different types of visitors you will see here includes local Parisians enjoying their day along with tourists with the hustle and bustle of soaking all that Paris has to offer. My number one tip is to take your time and stroll through with no schedule and see where the day takes you. You will have one of the best experiences just wandering and having time to absorb the culture of this beautiful city.
The Seine River
A cruise along the river Seine is by far one of the most romantic experiences in Paris. Whether you are looking to soak up the sights of Paris by river that allows you to see the city light up while gliding along the water or you would rather see the sights and landmarks in the daylight, this is the perfect way to see the city from a different perspective. There are options to enjoy private cruises or those that include a full gourmet dining experience.
